Applies to the purchase of ThroneSeeker Pro as digital content via the app. As of May 2026. This English version is provided for convenience; the German version is legally authoritative.
In brief
If you are a consumer (a natural person acting for private purposes; § 13 BGB) and make the one-time in-app purchase of ThroneSeeker Pro, you have a 14-day statutory right of withdrawal under German and EU consumer law. Important caveat: once the Pro skins have been unlocked for you and you have consented to immediate execution at the moment of purchase, this right of withdrawal expires (§ 356 (5) of the German Civil Code, BGB). In practice, the fastest refund route is directly through Google Play (or the Apple App Store); see below.
Business buyers (entrepreneurs under § 14 BGB) do not have a statutory right of withdrawal; the disclosure below addresses consumers exclusively.
Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from the purchase contract for ThroneSeeker Pro within fourteen days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which the contract was concluded. The contract is concluded when the respective app store (Google Play or Apple App Store) confirms your purchase.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us
by means of a clear declaration (e.g. a letter sent by post or an e-mail) of your decision to withdraw from this contract. You may use the attached model withdrawal form, but this is not mandatory.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Consequences of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse all payments received from you, including delivery costs (with the exception of supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the cheapest type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and no later than fourteen days from the day on which we received the communication of your withdrawal from this contract.
For this reimbursement, we will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; in no case will you be charged any fees for this reimbursement.
Early expiry for digital content
The right of withdrawal expires for a contract on the supply of digital content not delivered on a tangible medium if we have begun performance of the contract after you have
expressly consented to us beginning performance of the contract before the end of the withdrawal period, and
confirmed your awareness that by giving your consent, you lose your right of withdrawal upon the beginning of performance of the contract,
and we have provided you with confirmation in accordance with § 312f (3) BGB.
Concretely for ThroneSeeker Pro: by tapping the purchase button and then confirming the purchase in the Google Play or Apple App Store dialog, you give your express consent that the Pro skins be unlocked immediately, and you acknowledge that your right of withdrawal expires as a result. This dual declaration is a prerequisite for the purchase to proceed at all. You will receive confirmation of the contract by e-mail from the app store operator (Google or Apple).
Before tapping the purchase button, no contract has been concluded and a withdrawal is therefore not necessary. You can simply close the paywall.
Practical refund via the app store
Even though the statutory right of withdrawal usually expires upon Pro purchase (see above), the app stores offer their own (often more generous) refund procedures. In practice these routes are considerably faster than a direct withdrawal sent to us, because they are automated and refund the payment directly to you:
Google Play
Within 48 hours of purchase: via the Play Store app → Profile → "Payments and subscriptions" → "Budget and history" → tap the purchase → "Request a refund". Usually goes through automatically.
After 48 hours: via Google’s refund form. Google reviews on a case-by-case basis.
Apple App Store (in the future, once an iOS version is released)
Note: these store-internal procedures are not a statutory withdrawal towards us, but an additional voluntary service offered by Google or Apple. Your statutory right of withdrawal (see above) and the procedure described above remain unaffected. So you may contact us by e-mail in parallel or exclusively.
If the store grants the refund, your Pro status in the app usually deactivates automatically on the next sync with the store. If it doesn’t: drop us a short message and we’ll help.
